Research Overview
A synthetic heptapeptide based on the ACTH(4-10) sequence, studied as an intranasal neurotrophic-signalling research compound.
Available Strengths
- 5MG (XA5)
- 10MG (XA10)
Research Protocol
Cited healthy-volunteer single-exposure dose range
| Period | Dose | Sprays (0.10 mL each) | Volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single exposure (low) | 0.25 mg | 2.5 | 0.25 mL |
| Single exposure (high) | 1 mg | 10 | 1 mL |
Reconstitution
≈1.0 mg/mL (1,000 mcg/mL) once diluted to a 5 mL final volume in a metered nasal-spray actuator, delivering 100 mcg per 0.10 mL spray
- Add 3.0 mL of sterile 0.9% saline (or a compatible sterile nasal vehicle) to the 5 mg vial.
- Transfer to the actuator bottle and add further vehicle to reach a measured 5.0 mL final volume.
- Confirm the actuator delivers exactly 0.10 mL per full stroke; prime the pump per manufacturer instructions before use.
Research context
Reported to exert neurotrophic signalling effects on attention, memory and neurological outcomes without the hormonal effects of full-length ACTH.
Storage
Protected from light, refrigerated at ≤10°C, not frozen. Record preparation date, concentration, vehicle and storage conditions on the container; protect from light.
Research Notes
- For educational and research reference only. Not medical advice and not intended for unsupervised human use.
- This product is dosed as an intranasal spray, not injected. The spray-count column above reflects 0.10 mL metered actuations, not U-100 syringe units.
- A separate post-stroke clinical research protocol cited 6,000 mcg/day for 10 days (repeated after a 20-day interval) — a substantially higher, clinically-supervised dose from a different research context than the single-exposure range above, not reflected in the schedule table.
